Yoke

In conjunction with universal joint pins, yokes are used to transmit torque between two shafts that require angular and length compensation. The high rotational speeds place great demands on balance. Forging along the billet axis enables a component to be produced with the tightest concentricity tolerations, minimal machining allowance, and a fiber flow that is suited to the load. The rolling of the spline on the yoke also requires a high degree of homogeneity in terms of structure and hardness distribution. This is ensured by a specially designed, controlled cooling line. On request, centers can be forged onto the end of the component, eliminating the need for cutting to length und centering processes.
