DAMPER FORK

In multi-link axles, the damper fork supports the damper and rests on one of the lower control arms. In the case of a driven axle, the damper fork also leaves enough space for the drive shaft. Compared to steel damper forks, those made of forged aluminum have a considerably lower component weight. And, unlike cast aluminum damper forks, the forged varieties can transmit significantly greater forces while retaining the same dimensions. Hirschvogel supplies these sophisticated components in a ready-for-assembly state and also takes on design responsibility at the customer’s request.
