STEEL PISTON

Forged steel pistons are the optimum solution for withstanding the high loads in the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine. Steel not only demonstrates higher strength, but it also has decisive advantages in terms of frictional losses, thus resulting in significant fuel savings. Hirschvogel’s manufacturing capabilities allow the production of both multi-part designs as well as single-part solutions. A particular highlight is the possibility of producing a single-part monoblock piston with integrated cooling duct, thereby eliminating the need for a joint in the highly stressed combustion chamber.
