Flanged shaft

Flanged shaft

Flanged shaft

The flanged shaft joins the differential transmission with the constant-velocity shaft. The part is warm forged with a flange. The shaft is then elongated by means of swaging, and a very long undercut is thereby introduced. Compared to a long forged shaft in which the undercut is machined, this process chain represents a very material-efficient lightweighting solution.
