Transmission shaft: electric vehicle (BEV)

In a publicly funded research project, “ESKAM”, Hirschvogel produced this part as a prototype. A hollow geometry was generated by means of forging in the region of the load-carrying flange up to the end of the shaft. Splines were then forged onto the diameter-reduced hollow area. This part demonstrates both high functional integration with elements produced by forging as well as a high degree of lightweighting.
