The family-owned company Hirschvogel, headquartered in Denklingen, Upper Bavaria, reorganized its top management at the turn of the year. Since January 1, 2021, Walter Bauer, CFO, and Dr. Dirk Landgrebe, COO, have been at the helm of the global automotive supplier. In addition, the shareholders appointed a Chief Executive Officer, whose name can now be published: Jörg Rückauf will take up the position of CEO at Hirschvogel and shall enter the company on July 1, 2021.
Following his studies in Aerospace Engineering, 55-year-old Mr. Rückauf began his career with renowned development service providers in the automotive industry, namely FEVMotorentechnik and Meta Motoren- und Energietechnik. As a Key Account Manager at AVL Deutschland, he supervised engine development projects for the VW Group. At the automotive supplier IWIS, he was likewise a Key Account Manager, successfully involved in the components business. In 2005, Mr. Rückauf moved to the Mahle Group, taking up the position as Director Corporate Advanced Engineering before later becoming Vice President Global, where he was active in the areas of Product Development and Advanced Development, Project Management and Technology Development for the business fields of Engine Peripherals and Engine Components. Besides complete responsibility for the area of Development in the core business, his other area of focus was in the field of new, CO2-free drive technologies, covering everything from battery systems and fuel cell drives to hydrogen engines for commercial vehicles.
Hirschvogel, known until now primarily as a component manufacturer for the automotive industry, is currently undergoing a transformation process aimed at actively shaping the changes in mobility and at safeguarding the future of the company.
