At the Hirschvogel plant in Pinghu, China, an additional machining hall will go into production at the end of 2015. The new building spans approx. 5.500 m2 (just over 59,000 ft 2) and is located only a few minutes away from the existing plant. The expansion of the plant in Pinghu represents an additional milestone in the development of aluminum forging there. The commencement of operations at the new machining hall will now mark the beginning of local machining operations for aluminum chassis parts in China. With this additional localization measure, Hirschvogel in China will be able to offer not only forged aluminum parts but also machined and ready-for-assembly chassis components.
