The Research and Development Department was set up in 1993. Hirschvogel recognized then the need to carry out fundamental research and development independently of the day-to-day business. The Research and Development Department thus carries out new and further developments on the metal forming technologies employed by us. In addition, we maintain contact to national and international research institutions by means of numerous research projects. All these activities must, however, stand the test in practice. It is the consistent implementation of these activities which ensures that the Hirschvogel Automotive Group stays ahead.

Supplier of Ideas
The role of the Research and Development Department lies in designing parts with a view to strength and service life, and in providing competence within the area of metal forming simulations. Together with the Product Development Department, the Research and Development Department serves the customer as a contact partner when it comes to developing new ideas for optimally integrating a forged part into the entire production process chain. What benefits our customers above all is the discovery of new potentials for achieving the best solution from a technological and economical point of view. And thus, this is the main goal of the Research and Development Department.
